🌿 About ISCR 2025

The International Seagrass-Climate Resilience Conference (ISCR 2025) is a global platform dedicated to advancing research, conservation, and restoration of seagrass and associated foundation ecosystems such as mangroves and corals. The focus is on understanding their role in building climate-resilient coasts through carbon sequestration and biodiversity support.

The conference brings together scientists, policymakers, conservationists, and coastal communities, aligning with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, ISCR 2025 emphasizes the importance of sustainable fisheries within seagrass ecosystems, their invaluable contributions to fishers, and the responsible practices required to safeguard marine resources and livelihoods.

By integrating multidisciplinary research, the program aims to bridge scientific innovations with community-driven actions. The conference highlights the urgent need for seagrass protection, fisheries sustainability, and climate resilience, ensuring benefits for both people and the planet.
